Toying Around Reviews - Star Wars Black Series - Mandalorian Warrior (Holiday Edition)

Updated: Feb 11, 2023

Today we will look at the 6-inch Star Wars Black Series Holiday Mandalorian Warrior. this is a regular Mandalorian warrior done up in some holiday cheer. Star Wars: The Black Series (TBS) is a Star Wars toy line produced by Hasbro. It includes action figures, vehicles, Force FX lightsabers, and collectible items. The action figures are based on characters from the movies, shows, books, comics, and video games from the Expanded Universe and canon.

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

The Mandalorian Warrior comes in the normal rectangular-styled box but is done up in a holiday look. The top of the box has the Star Wars Black Series logo. The Mandalorian is displayed in the middle with the figure’s name listed below. Turning the box to the side we get what looks like a To & From tag but written in Mandalorian. The back of the box gives us the To & From tag wrapping around along with a little write-up. The other side of the box lets us look into the side of the box to see the figure from the side.

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking the figure out of the box we get to see all the red and green on the figure. It really makes him pop. The coolest thing about the figure is the chest. Hasbro made it up to make it look like he is wearing a holiday ugly sweater. It’s the highlight of this figure.

Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

The Mandalorian comes with a jet pack, a large blaster, and a white bogling

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

BALL JOINTED HINGED NECK - allows you to turn the head 360 degrees.

BALL-HINGED SHOULDERS - Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

SINGLE JOINTED ELBOWS - This allows you to bend the arm about 90 degrees.

SWIVEL BALL HINGE WRISTS - It allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.

WAIST SWIVEL - This lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.

BALL JOINTED LEGS - With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

DOUBLE JOINTED KNEES - The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.

BALL JOINTED ANKLES - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back and also to the left and right.

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

The Mandalorian stands right around the 6-inch mark. Here is The Mandalorian Warrior with Mando and Boba.

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

PAINT JOB 5/5 - The paint job on the chest alone makes it a 5 out of 5

FIGURE SCULPT 4/5 - The sculpt is pretty well done, however the limit on the elbows does make it a little hard to pose sometimes

POSING 3.5/5 - Double-jointed elbows or even an upper bicep cut would have helped out a lot.

ACCESSORIES: 3/5 - You give us a figure that has two gun holsters and then don’t give us the guns for them????

DURABILITY 4/5 - The plastic is overall good, the ankles are a little soft and I wonder about them giving out over time.

OVERALL SCORE 3.9/5 - It’s a fun figure for the holidays but he isn’t a must-need for anyone.
