With the 25th anniversary of Power Rangers set to start this Saturday 1/27/18, I thought we kick it off by taking a look at the Gold Zeo Ranger from the Legacy Power Rangers Line from Bandai. The Gold Zeo Ranger was the 6th Ranger that was added to the team midway through the Zeo season of Power Rangers. The Gold Ranger's identity was kept a secret for a few episodes until we found out the Ranger was losing his powers. He reviled himself to be Trey of the plant Triforia. Trey tried to give the powers to Billy who at this time gave up his spot on the team to help out in the Power Chamber, however, Billy's body rejected the power. Tommy had an idea to bring back an old friend, Jason, the original Red Ranger. Jason was able to take the golden power and became the new Gold Ranger.
Packaging: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
The Gold Ranger comes in the standard Power Rangers Legacy packaging. You have the Power Rangers logo at the top. The figure clearly displayed in the middle. Down below you have a picture of the Gold Ranger from the show. Running down the right side of the box is the name of the Ranger. The series logo that the Ranger is from is in the middle. Turning the box to the side you can see there is a clear cutout, this lets out friends who like to keep the figure mint in the box able to see him from the side as well. On the back of the box, you have a picture of the Zeo Megazord and the rest of the figures you need to complete it. Below that, you have pictures of the rest of the figures that are in this current wave. Gold Zeo Ranger, Yellow Zeo Ranger, Green Zeo Ranger, Red Dino Thunder Ranger, Blue Dino Thunder Ranger. Turning the box around again you get another look at the Gold Ranger from the side, this again is a plus for friends who like to keep the figure inside the box.
Outside of the Box: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
At 1st look at the Gold Ranger out of the box, you can see that the gold they used is a mustard color rather than gold. It is a little disappointing.

Articulation: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
Hinged Ball Jointed Head - allows you to swivel the head 360 degrees and tilt the head back and forth. Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm. Upper Bicep Swivel - lets you move the entire arm 360 degrees. Double Jointed Elbows - this allows you to bend the arm back to have the hands near the shoulders. Swivel Hinge Wrists - allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down. Ab Crunch - this cut lets you be able to bend the figure front and back at the Abs. Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist. Ball Jointed Legs - This allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion. Upper Thigh Swivel - the leg can rotate around a full 360 degrees. Double Jointed Knees - joint allows you to bend the leg itself all the way back to the butt of the figure. Hinged Ankles with Rockers - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back. The rockers allow you to rock the ankles towards the outside and inside of the legs of the figure.
SIZE COMPARISON: How does this figure size compare to others?
1st up we have Gold Ranger next to another Golden Hero, Iron Man's Marvel Now look. Next, we have the Gold Ranger next to the 1st 6th Ranger, Tommy himself, The Green Ranger.
Rating: What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
Paint Job 1/5 Here is the GOLD Ranger, not the mustard ranger. Figure Sculpt 4/5 The sculpt of the figure is on point. The only downside is that they still use this revered wrist hinges that just throw off the whole streamlined look the figure does have. Posing / Durability 5/5 With all the amount of articulation, the Gold Ranger has, posing him is not an issue. just about any pose or stance, you want to get him in you can do. Overall Score 3.33/5 The mustard color on the figure really hurts this figure a lot. Toy critics and fans alike have all agreed that this was a big mistake on Bandai, otherwise he would have been a near-perfect figure.
