Today we are checking out the all-new 40th Anniversary He-Man figure from Mattel. This figure in the Masterverse line pays homage to the original figure that started it all. Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Masters of the Universe with this new premium He-Man figure from the Masterverse line! It's a thrilling time to be a Masters of the Universe fan! For longtime fans and for a new generation of kids who love action and adventure, it's time to discover the thrilling action and adventures of He-Man, Skeletor, the secrets of Castle Grayskull and so much more!
PACKAGING: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
He-Man comes in the normal-sized Masterverse box, however, this box does look a little different than most At the top, it tells you the figure has 30 points of articulation. He-Man is displayed in the middle with everything he comes with. The window also displays the 40th-anniversary He-Man logo that just about every figure coming out this year has on it. The real difference in this box is the art on the box. instead of the normal blue box, this time we have a box that has the red exploding rocks all around to help mimic that of the original blister cards that figures came in back in the 80s. The MOTU logo and He-Man’s name are listed at the bottom. Turing the box to the one side we see the rock artwork wraps around the side. The back of the box has some amazing artwork of He-Man and Battle Cat going after Skeletor. with this caption, “40 years ago, Mattel created MASTERS OF HE UNIVERSE - A world of space and sorcery, of fantasy and technology, and of He-Man, the hero who inspired children to discover the power within themselves.” Turning the box around one more time we get some more rock artwork wrapping around from the front.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking He-Man out of the box we can see that Mattel has done an excellent job making him look like a taller version of that 1st figure. The head sculpt looks very well done, something Mattel has seemed to have issues with as of late getting right. This figure also has a larger chest than the first handful of Masterverse figures.

He-Man comes with a Left open hand, a right closed fist, an axe, a shield, and his Sword of Power
ARTICULATION: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
HE-MAN’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
DUMBBELL JOINTED NECK - allows you to turn the head 360 degrees. The hair does hinder movement a little bit.
BALL-HINGED SHOULDERS - These give the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
UPPER BICEP SWIVEL - This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360 degrees.
DOUBLE-JOINTED ELBOWS - This allows you to bend the arm past 90 degrees.
SWIVEL HINGE WRISTS - The left hand has a normal left and right hinge, The Right hand has an up and down hinge to better let him hold the sword in the air.
DIAPHRAGM SWIVEL - This lets you turn the figure around 360 degrees at the diaphragm.
WAIST SWIVEL - This lets you turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.
BALL JOINTED LEGS - With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.
UPPER THIGH SWIVEL - The leg can rotate around a full 360 degrees.
DOUBLE-JOINTED KNEES - The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.
BOOT CUT - This lets you swivel the boot around 360 degrees.
HINGED ANKLES WITH ROCKERS - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back. The rockers will enable you to rock the ankles towards the outside and inside of the legs of the figure.
SIZE COMPARISON: How does the size of this figure compare to others?
He-Man stands right around the 7-inch mark, Here is He-Man standing next to He-Man from this Masterverse line and also the McFarlane DC Rebirth Superman, next here is our new He-Man standing next to the Origins He-Man

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
PAINT JOB 5/5 - The paint that is on the figure is very well done, no real issues with mine.
FIGURE SCULPT 5/5 - The sculpt of He-Man is so well done, I am beyond happy with how he looks.
POSING 5/5 - Posing him is very easy, the plastic overall is solid.
ACCESSORIES 5/5 - The Sword of Power, his axe his shield, extra hands, I mean he really does come with everything you need.
DURABILITY 5/5 - The plastic is nice a hard. No real issues like wave 1 had with the soft plastic.
OVERALL SCORE 5/5 - I grew up on He-Man so I am so happy to have a figure that captures everything that I grew up with.
