Toying Around Reviews - Marvel Titan Hero Iron Man

The Titan Hero Series is a line of figures made and geared toward younger kids (4+). You can find them at all the big box retail stores, I found this Iron Man figure at my local Toys R Us.

PACKAGING: Before we open this, let's take a look at the packaging.

The front of the box has a window opening to show you the figure inside, along with some lovely artwork of the figure right below him. The Avengers logo is right below that with the Titans Hero Series Log below that. Turning the box to the side you have a list of other figures you can get in this line, Captain America, Black Panther, Thor, and Ant-Man. The back of the box has the same artwork from the front as well as a quick bio - Iron Man jets through the skies, Ready to blast the bad guys! The other side of the box again has the same artwork that we saw on the front and the back.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX: Let's open the box and take a closer look at Iron Man.

On the first look at the figure, you can see the design is based on Iron Man's look as he looked in All-New All-Different Marvel. The figure is cast in red plastic. You can also see that the figure does not have a lot of paint on him. He has gold on the helmet, arms, and legs. He also has a little bit of blue on the arc reactor in his chest and eyes. finally, he has a little bit of silver on his neck. The back of the figure doesn't have any paint at all.

ACCESSORIES: Let's see what kind of accessories Iron Man comes with. NONE!

ARTICULATION: How can we pose Iron Man? Let's find out!

Iron Man has 5 points of articulation.

Mushroom Pegged Head - allows you to swivel the head 360 degrees. Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm inward and outward Swivel Wrists - allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle Swivel Hinge Legs - This will enable the legs to move out to the side along with some front motion, due to the cut of the figure you can not move the legs backward.

SIZE COMPARISON: How does this figure's size compare to others?

This Iron Man figure stands right around 11.5 inches tall. Here is Iron Man standing next to one of his Avenger buddies, Wonder Man from the 6-inch Marvel Legends line.

Rating: What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

Paint Job 1/5 The paint on the figure is minimal at best. all you have on him is a little bit of gold, blue and silver. The figure has paint on his front but nothing at all on the back Figure Sculpt 3/5 The overall sculpt of the figure is very nice. looks just like it did in the comics Posing / Durability 2/5 To be honest this figure had a bit more articulation then I thought he would. that was a very nice surprise. Overall Score 2/5 The figure itself is made for little kids, not collectors. It is a nice figure if you have a 5-year-old that is into superheroes. It’s nice and big so they won’t lose the toy and doesn't come with any accessories that you have to worry about them losing are trying to eat. Retail Cost: $9.99
