Today we will be taking a look at Gritty from the new Hockey Mascot line from Funko Pop! Funko Inc. is an American company that manufactures licensed pop culture collectibles, best known for its licensed vinyl figurines and bobbleheads. Also, the company produces licensed plush, action figures, and electronic items such as USB drives, lamps, and headphones.

PACKAGING: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Looking at the front of the box you can see on the top you have the Pop! logo on the left with the Philadelphia Flyers wordmark in the middle and the number #1 as this is the 1st figure in this NHL Mascots line. There is a nice big window that displays Gritty for one who wishes to display his inbox. On the bottom, there is a nice cartoon drawing of Gritty with his name running along the bottom of the box. Turning the box to the left you can again see the Pop! logo, The same artwork from the front only now a full-sized picture of it with his name and figure number below him. The back of the box also gives you a list of the rest of the Mascots from this new line, #1 Gritty (Philadelphia Flyers), #2 Tommy Hawk (Chicago Blackhawks), #3 NJ Devil (New Jersey Devils), #4 Blades (Boston Bruins), #5 Chance (Vegas Golden Knights) and #6 Carlton (Maple Leafs). If you are one who wants to keep the Pop the inbox you turn the box around one more time you get a nice wrap-around of the window to show off Gritty. This is a nice feature for people who like to keep the Pop figures mint inbox.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking Gritty out of the box and turning him around we get a very good look at all the orange that is on him. From his head down to his Flyers Jersey. He is decked out. Funko even managed to capture the googly eyes that the real mascot has.

ACCESSORIES: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with. NONE!

ARTICULATION: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out.

Gritty’s head is on a mushroom peg, however, due to all his hair and his hands being up, you can’t get more than a little movement left and right.

OVERALL: As a Flyers fan, I love that that made Gritty. If you are a fan of the Flyers or even just a sports mascot fan I say pick him up RETAIL COST: $12.50 I got my Gritty at my local Sports Collectables shop.
