Toying Around Reviews - Funko Ducktales: Scrooge McDuck

Today we are going to be taking a look at Scrooge McDuck from the new Disney Afternoon action figure line by Funko! These fully articulated figures stand roughly 3 ¾ inches tall and most are featured with accessories! Funko is the same company that does the Pops!

Packaging: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Scrooge comes on the standard blister card packaging. On the front of the box, you have some artwork of Scrooge with Huey, Dewy, and Lewie, along with the Ducktales logo and the name of the figure. Below you have Scrooge clearly displayed in the box along with his accessories. Turning the box to the side you have a clear side look at Scrooge, this is nice for our friends that like to not open the figure and keep it in packaging. On the back of the box, we now have a full look at the artwork that was on the front of the box. Turning the box around one more time we have another look at Scrooge from the side.

Outside of the Box: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Take one look at Scrooge and you can see they nailed these figures look. from his blue coat to the black hat, he looks like he came right out of the cartoon itself.

Accessories: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

Scrooge comes with his walking cane and a bag of money, both can be fitted into his hands.

Articulation: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

Mushroom Pegged Head - Allows you to swivel the head 360 degrees. Although the movement is hindered due to his hair. Ball Jointed Shoulders - Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm. Singles Jointed Swivel Elbows - this allows for a 90-degree bend at the elbow. The swivel in the elbow allows for a complete 360-degree rotation of the lower arm. Hinged Swivel Wrists - allows you to turn her wrists in a full 360-degree circle, as well as bend them up and down. Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist. Swivel Legs - this cut lets you swivel the legs in a 360-degree circle.

Size Comparison: How does the size of this figure compare to others?

Here is Scrooge standing next to the Marvel Legends Invincible Iron Man.

Rating: What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

Paint Job 5/5 The paint job on this figure is perfect. there is nothing out of place at all. I have even looked at other figures in this line and they have all been spot on. Funko has no CC issues with these figures. Figure Sculpt 5/5 The Sculpt of Scrooge is perfect. he really does look like he came right out of the tv show. Posing / Durability 4/5 The only knock I give the figure is that the articulation is a little limited in some areas. A little bit more and you could get scrooge into almost any pose you want. The legs are also a downturn. the way they are made you can really only stand him one way. Overall Score 4.66/5 This is the 1st time we have ever received a Ducktales figure, and aside from some very small issues, I'd say Funko knocked it out of the park.

Retail Cost: $12.99 Scrooge McDuck was found at our local Hot Topic.
