Today we will be taking a look at Iron Man from the Disney Exclusive Toy Box line. The Toy Box line is a newer line that Disney has been putting out itself. All the figures in the line (Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar) are based loosely on the old Disney Infinity toys-to-life game that was available on PS4, Xbox, and Wii U.
Packaging: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Iron Man comes in the standard Toy Box box, however the box, At the top, you have the Disney Store exclusive logo with the Marvel Toy Box Logo running down the left side of the box. Thanos is displayed inside the blister card. Behind him, you have a big blue #15 as he is the 15th figure in the Marvel Toy Box. Towards the bottom, you have Iron Man's name. Turning the box to the side you have a clear side look at Thanos. This is perfect for collectors who wish to keep the figure mint inside the box. On the back of the box, we have a brief little bio about the Toy Box and the big #15 again to let you know he is the 15th figure in this line. Right below we have pictures of some more figures in the Marvel Toy Box line (Thanos, Grey Hulk, Miles Spider-Man, Iron Man). Flipping the box around one more time we have some artwork of Thanos. This is the artwork based on how Thanos would have appeared in the Disney Infinity Game.
Outside of the Box: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Iron Man out of the box you can see this is the same Iron Man that was 1st released almost two years ago now when the line first started. Iron Man just has a different paint job on him to match his look from Avengers Infinity War.
Accessories: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
The only thing Iron Man comes with is a blast effect that you can put over his hand to make it look like he is shooting.
Articulation: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
Iron Man's articulation includes the following:
Hinged Ball Jointed Head - allows you to swivel the head 360 degrees and tilt the head back and forth. Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm. Swivel Single Jointed Elbows - this allows you to bend the arm back and forth along with turning the arm 360 degrees. Swivel Hinge Wrists - allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down. Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist. Ball Jointed Legs - This allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion. Single Jointed Knees - this allows you to bend the legs back and forth. Hinged Ankles - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back.
Size Comparison: How does the size of this figure compare to others?
Here is our new Iron Man (Middle) with the 1st Iron Man we got in this line (Left) and Iron Man from the Marvel Legends Civil War line (right).
Rating: What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
Paint Job 4/5 The paint job for the Toy Box figures has gotten better over the last year. some paint shading on the figure then it would be perfect. Figure Sculpt 4/5 The Sculpt of the figure isn’t bad, however, I would have liked to see a new sculpt for Iron Man rather than a new paint job on him Posing / Durability 2/5 This Iron Man, like the last one, has very wobbly legs. So trying to get him to stand sometimes can be an issue, let alone trying to pose him. Overall Score 3.33/5 Retail Cost: $12.95 You can pick up Thanos at your local Disney Store or on the WEBSITE.
Time for some Toying Around!!
