Today we will be a little different, for today’s review we will be taking a look at Ghost-Spider from the brand new Spidery and His Amazing Friends show on Disney Junior. Follow Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales and their adventures as the young heroes team up with Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Black Panther to defeat foes like Rhino, Doc Ock, and Green Goblin and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day.
PACKAGING: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Ghost-Spider comes in an open-style blister card. The top of the card shows Spidey, Miles, and Gwen with the show’s name to the right. Ghost-Spider is displayed in the middle along with her accessory. Turning the card to the side you get a good look at the side of Ghost-Spider. The back of the card shows the rest of the figures you can get in this first wave. Spidey, Ghost-Spider, Miles, and Green Goblin. Turning the card around one more time we again get a good look at the side of Ghost-Spider.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Ghost-Spider off the blister card we get a really good look at her. The white plastic is very bright and makes the light blue and pink really pop. This look for Ghost-Spider is a little bit different than from the comics, as it has the spider logo on her chest.
ACCESSORIES: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
Ghost Spider comes with his web wings, they just clip around her body.
ARTICULATION: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
GHOST SPIDER’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
BALL JOINTED NECK - allows you to turn the head 360 degrees.
BALL-HINGED SHOULDERS - Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
SWIVEL WRIST (RIGHT ARM ONLY) - This allows you to move the wrist of the right arm in a 360-degree motion.
SINGLE JOINTED LEGS - Both legs are connected so when you move one the other moves with it.
SIZE COMPARISON: How does the size of this figure compare to others?
Here is Ghost-Spider next to the Marvel Legends Ghost-Spider (Spider Gwen) from the Into the Spider-Verse line.
What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
PAINT JOB 5/5 - The paint job on the figure is very well done on this figure. even for a kid’s toy, they didn’t mess anything up.
FIGURE SCULPT 5/5 - She looks just as she does in the show, I can’t complain about that.
POSING 2/5 - The legs being on one hinge sucks, I understand to a point why they did it but would it be so bad if both legs could move independently?
ACCESSORIES: 2/5 - The web wings are nice, but a web line like Spidy got would have also been nice.
DURABILITY 5/5 - The plastic is strong and I do not see a little breaking him unless they are really trying to
OVERALL SCORE 3.8/5 - If you are a parent and are just getting your kid into superheroes, this is a good show and toy for them.
RETAIL COST: $5.19 I PICKED MINE UP AT MY LOCAL TARGET.
