PACKAGING: Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Optimus Prime comes in a box that is very G1 (Generation One) inspired. On the left side of the box, we have a window that lets us see the truck in all its glory. This is perfect for any collector that might want to keep it mint in the box. On the right side, we have the G1 Transformers text along with the G1 artwork that used to come on the original Optimus Prime toy box. Along the bottom, we have the Metals Die Cast logo almost with Optimus Primes' name. Turning the box to the side we have a continuation of the clear plastic that lets us see Optimus Prime from the front. Turning the box around to the back we have some pictures of the truck along with the artwork that used to come on the back of all the G1 1984 toys. Flipping the box around one more time we have the G1 Optimus Prime artwork.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX: Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Optimus out of the box we get a nice detailed look at the figure. Jada Toys did a very good job at making this look like the G1 toy.
ACCESSORIES: Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with. NONE!
ARTICULATION: How can we pose the figure? Let's find out! NONE!
SIZE COMPARISON: How does the size of this figure compare to others?
This Metals Die Cast Optimus is just a little shorter than the original G1 today.
